Coronation Elsa
This is my second costume from Cosplay Sky and I love it :-) I was hoping for some snow to really show off the character and costume but for now I got these beautiful photos by Paul Flannigan Photography. This costume is really well made and is shipped quickly so you dont have to wait ages for it and packaged nicely. I decided to go for a small (im a UK size 8) which I was worried about as my measurements were the max on the item specifics but when I tried it on it fits perfect. The thing I love about this costume compared with other ones i've seen is that it comes in seperate pieces which makes it looks much more accurate. I wore this costume for a full day at work and it was so comfortable to wear so would be ideal for conventions. This is what it comes with:
Top
The first part of the costume is the shirt which goes under the costume. It is made from a velvet type fabric which fits the costume perfectly and is also lined inside. I was really supprised by the quality of this top as its nice and thick and the stiching is nicely done. The sleeves are accurate to the movie and have a princess cut on them and the neck also has the correct shape and is finished off with the embroidered detail around the neck. I love it!
Skirt
The next piece is the skirt which is high wasted so the black shirt tucks into this. It is made from a uniform material which has a nice weight to it and doesnt crease easiley. As you can see from the picture it hangs beautifully. The design along the bottom is screen printed which is good beacause this will not crack or peel off, I have washed it a few times and still looks exactly the same. The hem along the bottom and the waist band along the top is very nicley finished off. It has a zip up one side with one button to fasten it up which is neatly done and is barely visable. I was very happy with this piece.
Bodice
The bodice goes over the black shirt and the skirt to join the whole outfit together which looks really pretty together. It is made from the same material as the skirt and is also fully lined with white lining fabric. It has the front design screen printed on like the skirt and is fisihed off with a gold trim around the whole bodice. The gold fabric that is used for the trim is a nice shade of gold and has a matt finish so looks lovely. It doent have any structure in it but it stays up with no issues and has darts on the bust to give it a nice shape. It has a full zip with goes up the back which can be seen a little at the top when fastned.
Cape
The costume can be worn without the cape and still look great so you can chose if you want to wear it or not. It is made from a wool type material so has a nice weight to it but is not too heavy and has a nice swoosh :-). It has the same collar shape as the movie with the purple trim around the top. This is the only piece of the costume which is not intirely accurate to the movie as it is floor lenght where as in the movie it has a very long trail, this also means the detail along the bottom is also different. I personally dont think this matters as I think its much more practical to wear especially at conventions (you dont want people standing on you all the time). I still think it looks really good and fits the costume really well. It fastens at the neck with two hook and eyes.
Final Touches
I thought that was all the costume came with so it was a nice supprise when I alslo received the broach and gloves. The broach has a gold base with a blue gem on top and attaches with a pin. The gloves are made from a strechy material so will fit most hands, I have quite long fingers so my little finger didnt fit perfectly but you cant tell from the photos. The gloves also have the printed detail around the edges and the correct shapping. I found these really comfortable to wear but again you dont need to wear these with the outfit if you dont want to.
Overall I love this costume, It is made to a very nice standard, its very comfortable and looks great in photos. I will be wearing it to a lot of conventions this year :-)
